"Grane Restaurant"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

(as a relative),

I visited the Grane restaurant today while at the hospital visiting a patient.

I had roast turkey, mashed potatoes and green beans.

The turkey was lukewarm and the beans were very cold.

I complained and was offered an exchange. I said I would like the same meal but at the correct temperature only to be told the temperature would be the same as it would be served from the same containers.

I then asked if my original food could be reheated. It was returned to me within seconds. The beans were slightly warm but the turkey, while warm on the outside was cold in the middle.

I'm sure that anyone involved in the catering industry should be aware of the dangers of food being served / reheated at an incorrect temperature and am really surprised that this basic principle is not adhered to particularly on hospital premises. I can only hope this not a usual occurrence
