My leg was swollen over a couple of weeks after being crouched in a very confined space over a few days whilst renovating my kitchen. The swelling was in my left calf and was getting worse. My foot then startied swelling and a spontaneous bruise appeared along the side of the foot. I had made a routine appointment to see the gp but my partner felt at this point that I should be seen urgently. I spoke to the gp on the phone and he asked to see me for assessment.
He referred me to AAU at Borders General. Everyone we saw there was kind and efficient although obviously busy.
I had bloods Ann ecg and examination. My d- diner was high so I was referred to Doppler scanning. It turned out to be a burst complex bakers cyst. Good news. I was given advice and discharged.
We would like to give our heart felt thanks to everyone we saw. In total we were there about 6 hours.
