"Ward 9 ....Acute assessment unit"

About: Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Having recently needed to receive treatment at this unit, on several occasions now, due to pulmonary embolisms I have been treated by many different doctors and consultants at the unit. One doctor stood out for their care and genuine interest in me - actually taking time to listen to and give very sound sensible advice. This is somewhat lacking in such a busy unit day in day out. A stroke specialist previously from heartlands, they are worth their weight in gold. A credit to the unit and Burton hospital. Other professionals there would do well to take note of their bedside manner and I for one am most grateful for their help and skills.
