I fractured my left wrist on 27/11/07 at work and was taken to Warrington A & E. The staff were wonderful, they recognised the pain i was in and saw to me straight away. I had a distal radius fracture and was told i would need pins inserting. 2 days later and i went to the daresbury day ward were again staff were wonderful, caring and concerned. I felt thoroughly cared for. I have since been back and forth to the fracture clinic and again received nothing but care and attention from all the staff who seem to work none stop- especially the plaster room staff who dealt with my four casts.
I had the pins removed yesterday, no pain at all, and am now awaiting physio. I am so grateful to everyone at Warrington who dealt with me and helped "fix" my deformed wrist. I know there is probably a way to go yet before it is back to normal but I got the best initial care possible at Warrington.
