My wife was admitted via emergency services to A and E . They (A&E) were efficient , prioritised and caring, admitted to ward 34 assessment, who again all nursing staff, and doctors were very caring and supportive to everyone. The ward was very clean and nothing was too much trouble.
My wife condition deteriorated and was transferred to ITU 2. The health care in my opinion was outstanding, the one to one support given to my wife and to myself and family members are in need of reporting as excellent. Day and Night staff always showed dignity, respect, and care.
The sister was co-coordinating between 1 and 2 and many others.Including domestic staff who took time to have a discussion.
The relatives room was a good place to relax during treatments and where relatives could meet together in similar circumstances.
Staff always made you welcome and gave an instant update, by day or night. A compliment card giving times and telephone numbers alongside a parking permit were very helpful.
A caring hand and some tissues at the ready when relatives were upset. My wife was in ITU 2 for 6 nights and thanks to medical intervention, care and support she is now home recovering well.
