"I have seen excellence in care"

About: Roseberry Unit Tippethill House

(as a relative),

Mum was admitted to Roseberry uni. I was extremely anxious around my mum being admitted to an older people's mental health ward whilst recognising that the unit she was currently being cared for did not appear to have the skills and expertise required to developers and deliver an appropriate care plan. From the moment the decision was made to admit mum to the unit the care compassion, friendship and support offered by the nursing team to mum and our family has been second to none. The team have endless skills in dealing with a very challenging care group. They seek feedback from families to ensure that any queries are met and dealt with. Regular review of my mum is undertaken in conjunction with myself. Often community hospitals are the ' forgotten NHS yet in Roseberry I have seen excellence in care

Dear Jhand

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experiences about your mum's care whilst in Rosebury wing at Tippethill.

I was pleased to read how the staff cared for you and your mum at what must have been an anxious time for everyone, especially having to move to somewhere more able to look after her. At this time it is important that you were able to speak with the staff, getting regular updates and knowing that you were both supported with compassion and friendship to support your mum's transition and ongoing care.

I have shared your lovely feedback with the staff, who like me will be delighted with your kind words.

Thank you again.

Jeannette
