My GP sent me to Watford AE with a letter in hand, within about 3 1/2 hrs of being signed in I had seen a Dr 3x, blood test, CT scan, then put on to Letchmore ward, the AE was very busy so was very impressed.
Treament was for Urology.
My 5 days on Letchmore ward was outstanding, the care and bedside manner given by the HCA and Nurses was faultless, with the workload + paperwork they have to do and the amount of patients they are looking after I was never made to feel a burden, I was always approached and spoken to with a smile and was always asked if I was comfortable. Considering these guys are pulling 12 hr shifts with very short breaks they all deserve medals. The meals provided were good, if I ordered something cooked it arrived hot, equaly when I asked for a salad it was fresh and crispy and the odd time I had a sandwich, I'd say it was better than some major retrailers. On discharge, my medication was brought to me whilst I was gathering my belongings so no wait there and wished all the best when I left.
There isnt much more to say apart from, total respect to you guys at Watford Hospital and please pass on my regards and thanks to the guys and girls working on Letchmore ward who looked after me.
