We had our 12 week Nuchal Scan at the Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal Medicine. We found all the medical staff very polite and professional, it was only let down by the rude and unprofessional Receptionists working there, who openly made negative comments about the doctors and seemed to resent having to work there. We cannot fault the staff that performed the scan, yes they have strong accents but they do communicate well and we felt they were very informative throughout our scan and would point out baby's hand and legs etc while performing the scan. We had a very good length of time to enjoy the scan and they made sure I was comfortable when at times they needed to apply a little pressure to get a better picture. It is a Research Centre so of course there will be staff from other countries working there, that does not mean that they are any less knowledgable about the work. I did not feel at any point pressured into taking part in the research and any questions we had about the research were answered without any issues. The facilities there are amazing and very clean, yes, the top floor where the scans are done is very warm but this is due to the glass ceiling. We are very happy with the service we received from the staff performing our scan.
