"Solid support at Dementia Carers Cafe"

About: Fife Community Services

(as a service user),

I regularly attend the Dementia Carers Cafe with my friend who is a full time carer. We have both found the support from Helen and the other health professionals to be beneficial. The meetings are informal and people drop in as required, We have been signposted to various sources for information about benefits, other suport organisations, plus activity groups for both people with dementia and us as carers. Until we went to the Carers Cafe we felt confused and unsure of who to turn to for support and advice. We now feel more informed about dementia and also have accessed other support agencies. Although no-one can predict how this awful disease will progress with our friend it is reassuring to know we have solid support from Helen and her colleagues.

Dear Donie

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience of attending the Dementia Carers Café. Helen does a great job and the café has proven to be a really useful way of sharing information and generating support for patients, carers and their families. I will make sure Helen gets sight of your positive feedback.

Kind Regards

Louise
