"Benefits of Community Leave"

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

When I first came from another hospital it took me six months to be assessed to get community leave. I had this leave in my previous hospital but I had to give up when I came to St Andrew's the staff and patients helped me to find my feet and navigate my way through some potentially 'dicey' situations to get to the point I could get my community leave back. It's good to know that I'm on the right track.

As part of our involvement in the West Midlands Project, REACH Out, we are actively looking at ways to improve the transfer process so that your progress can continue, rather than stall at the point of transfer.
