My mum is currently in SRH with terminal pancreatic cancer. The nurses are lovely but as an organisation it is dire. She requires surgery that was scheduled for today to insert a stent that will extend her days with us. They cant even organise a scan between them to allow her to have the operation today. This scan has been "happening" for 3 days and apparently she isnt a priority because she is an inpatient. She has been deprived of eating solids since Tuesday in preparation for this operation and now she possibly cant have it because a first class troupe of clowns are running the hospital, she could have had the scan at another hospital but they "promised" to do it there and now cant fit her in.
I am disgusted with the treatment of her, they are removing the last shreds of dignity from a woman that doesnt have long with us and its hugely upsetting they can treat human beings like this as every day in the hospital is a day they are removing her from us.
If you ever have to go here, ask for a referral somewhere else !
