I was admitted to the delivery suite recently for induction on to have my twin girls. I was nervous but was immediately made to feel at ease by the attentive staff on the unit. Everyone I met during my stay was friendly and professional at all times and could not do enough to make me & my husband comfortable. We would love to say a special thanks to the midwife, Pam, who was absolutely amazing, brought our twins safely into the world and couldn't do enough for us and to midwife Dawn (I'm sorry I don't remember their surnames) who was on night shift after I delivered my girls who I kept busy all night looking after me when I myself became unwell all while making sure our twins had all their checks done.
The day after I was moved to the postnatal Ward where I spent 4 days, most of them with my husband, one of our girls was a bit poorly and we met a few of the neonatal staff too and I was happy to see that the staff were also very friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble and the midwives were always popping in and out day or night checking if we were alright, if we needed anything or offering pain relief if I needed it. I spent nights alone on the ward as we have another daughter and my husband took time to go home with her a few nights, and it was lovely to have the night nurses helping me out with feeding one of my girls While I fed the other so I could get back to bed and get some well needed rest.
Everyone we met on the maternity unit during our stay we cannot thank you enough for everything you did for me, my husband and my girls. You all really are a credit to your profession.
