"Amazing hospital. Ward 2D"

Hi All, After spending the last 2 weeks in Whiston hospital, I felt I had to write this review after receiving the most amazing treatment. I arrived with a severe back pain after twice being sent home from another Hospital with nothing more than stronger painkillers each time.

Within 2 nights at Whiston after numerous blood tests, scans & x-rays, (honestly, no stone was left unturned).

I was diagnosed with an E.Coli infection in my blood which had now turned to septis & was poisoning my body.

I was placed on antibiotics via a drip and looked after by the most amazing group of medical staff, canteen staff and nurses I have ever come across on Ward 2D.

The information given and received and the strict standards of timings of medicines, procedures & standards of medical attention always adhered to go a long way but more than that when you are the patient, the professionalism of all the staff, the smiles, the little chats, laughs when your not in the mood etc stick in my mind more than anything. I honestly cannot say thank you enough.

My time on Ward 2D went from a nightmare to a pleasant hotel stay in such a short time & I thank everyone on that ward for your time, help and compassion, keep up the great work you all do. Rob Hughes.
