My father, who is in his 90s, fell whilst on holiday. He was admitted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary which is 500 miles away from where we live.
On the first day I was contacted by James, one of the medical support nurses on ward 212. I spoke to him twice daily until I was able to visit the day after Dad's operation. He kept me up to date with Dad's case which was very comforting when we were so far away.
On my arrival he introduced me to Denise, the discharge nurse who had already made contact with our local hospital to arrange to have him transferred.
A very professional team, which includes all the staff on that ward.
