I attended the SEAL unit for a gallbladder removal on Monday 4th September, unfortunately due to surgeon illness this had to be cancelled.

Although this was unavoidable the staff could not have been nicer in informing me, I hadn't even arrived home before I was contacted with a new date of Thursday 7th September!

Every single person I dealt with from the pre surgery injections the day before right through to my discharge post surgery on the Thursday were not only throughly professional but extremely caring. Everything was explained to me step by step including approximate timings, this helped keep anxiety levels low.

Just like to say thank you to everyone really as the care given was exceptional.

I am sorry that it was necessary to cancel your surgery at such short notice, but delighted that the staff were able to sort out a new date for you so expeditiously, and keep you informed and reassured during what I know is a stressful process. I trust that you have made a good recovery from your surgery.
