"Rheumatology waiting times"

About: Addenbrooke's Hospital / Rheumatology

Unfortunately I missed my annual appointment with a Rheumatology consultant.

I normally receive a reminder from Addenbrookes but have very recently changed my mobile number and therefore did not receive the reminder.

I contacted the outpatients appointment line to re -arrange another time only to be told the next available appointment is April 2018!

I expected a wait but 7months?

I appreciate I missed my original appointment but I have never missed an appointment prior to this and on several occasions I have had appointments cancelled by Rheumatology and re-arranged which I have always excepted.

What concerns me more is that no-one has even asked how my condition is and if my medications are okay that I can wait a further 7 months.

I have been advised to contact the Rheumatology secretaries to discuss, which I will do.

I can't believe 7 months is a standard waiting time for a routine appointment.
