I went to the minor injuries, I had cut my finger with a bread knife, I had dressed it quite well but I believed I needed to receive professional care.
Yes the waiting time was 90 minutes, fair enough, I am diabetic and wanted to see if I had time to get something to eat and drink. I was told it would be better to stay put.
There was a major incident which occurred after I had been there 30 minutes. after it was resolved, I thought perhaps they needed time to recover themselves so I asked if they had a time frame so I could get something to eat or drink, the receptionist who by the way had eaten and drunk constantly in the time I was there (apart from the incident time) looked at me with fury when I asked if they knew when I was likely to be seen. and said in a hostile and very unkind way that they had a major incident and they didnt know when I would be seen. I said I was only asking a simple question. Then they got a head of steam up and really told me almost yelling that they were telling me they did not know.
Now maybe I am not used to modern manners, but they did not show me kindness, compassion, courtesy, or understanding. I was very interested to find that the nurse who dressed my finger also had this attitude although they were brusque not out and out rude.
"Minor injuries very abrasive receptionist"
