"Fracture and X-ray clinic waiting area a true..."

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

Having to attend the fracture clinic for an appointment is a accident waiting to happen. It is apparent that the powers above have merged the fracture and x ray clinic together and will book a vast amount of the general public into one area. People wait by the X-ray entrance, sit on floors, mothers holding babies in arms and these people are having to move to allow trolleys to come through to X-ray. to move. . There is not enough seating for the amount of people who attend the clinics. So management why allow to book so many people in the clinics without sufficient seating, why not have fans in the waiting area as it gets so hot and unbearable to sit in? the waiting time is a given I understand that, but for gods sake give us an area where we can sit. Oh and before you use the excuse of having an area refit, when you move us onto to see the doctors guess what no seating there either. Come on get your act together WHH...we are human beings do we not deserve a seat!!

I am sorry to hear about the experience you have had.

We are making changes to the area, as you said through a refit, which is not complete.

When this is complete and the area is less restricted this will make a difference for patients.

If you would like to contact us, we will look into this further for you.

Please contact the PALS team, you can contact the PALS team by email ekh-tr.pals@nhs.net or by phone 01227 783145/864314.

Many thanks.
