I unexpectedly ended up in Ward 212 in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and had to get 2 operations. The shock was very difficult to deal with but the team in Ward 212 helped me deal with this emotionally. I particularly want to make 2 special mentions, the first is to the wonderful Carol who runs that Ward to such a high standard. She helped me gain my independence during my time there and by God she kept the ward tidy and ticking over to a high standard. Carol had such a good way in speaking with every patient including their visitor and just knew how to make things that bit more comfortable for them all. I think Carol deserves huge recognition for everything she does in that Ward because in my opinion she really does go over and above what is expected of her role. Thank you for looking after me Carol!
Secondly, a big thank you to the night doctor who was also so attentive to me. I didn't remember her name but I know she was from Bulgaria and she spent so much time with me to make sure I was OK. I am so deeply grateful and thank u for what u did.
Everyone were amazing, it can't be easy looking after strangers, but Ward 212 do it with ease
