Due to work commitments I can only attend on a Saturday for the sit and wait clinic
Although it is an all day service I have found that if I arrive much after lunch, again , due to work,I have been turned away on more than one occasion, as the day's patient quota has been reached
It would be very helpful if people who are able to attend during the week , e.g. Retired people or others who are free in the week, do so rather than coming on a Saturday just because it is more convenient for them.
This would free up places for those who can only attend at the weekend
I'm sure it would be possible to publish advice to this effect.
I only visit a doctor if I genuinely feel ill
I never used to need a doctor for anything but as a cancer survivor I have to react to anything unusual now ( consultants advice)
I will watch with interest to see if anything happens.
