Most of Poplar ward staff are very rude. My nan has been in hospital for over two weeks she has fallen over in their care and had to be taken back to princess Alexandra hospital. They didn’t give her any of belongings even though she asked nurnerous times! My mum also asked and just getting told no or someone was looking for it. It seems like they just can’t be bothered! When I went up to the hospital myself the bag with all my nans belongings was under their desk! Second of all when family are up the hospital it seems they just leave you to take your family your visiting to the toilet yourself. When up there my nan was clipped with an alarm because she kept getting out of bed I pulled by accident it took over four mins for someone to come and see what was going on I ended up walking down the hallway with the alarm getting someone to then turn it off. My nan is now at home but has been sent home with a big sore on her back near her bottom. My mum has rang and mentioned it to them to get told that it hasn’t been written down my the member of staff who apparently cleaned her that morning. My mum picked her up at 11.30 this morning from the hospital. My nan has also come back with a bug and is in bed. So not has she only been sent out with a very sore backside she has also been sent home with extremely bad diahrrea. It’s lucky my nan comes home to my mum who cares for her because if it was someone who didn’t have that support around them would be in such horrible pain and left until a career arrived. Mainly it’s frustrating when your told on the phone that they will “pass on” the message which won’t get passed on at all. My mum got no answer to what they had given her to either make her go the toilet or the above mentioned there was no sorry no nothing. Not happy one but by the attitude from some of the staff on poplar ward! My nan may be old but she isn’t stupid
