To whom it may concern,
I would be grateful if you would pass this is the relevant dept/ individuals and confirm receipt of my commendation.
I was a very worrying day for me, the bowel screening process had picked up blood in my stool and I was delighted with the speed I had gotten an appointment for a Colonoscopy at Hairmyres. I duly went and was in and out in three hours.
In that time the staff were terrific, they were kind and caring, so professional, worked to retain my dignity throughout and I felt valued as a person and not 'just' a patient. They seemed to understand my anxiety and helped me through it, how wonderful is our NHS? The standard of care and service is just awesome (word bit US but suits my feelings).
Heather, my admitting nurse was so great, kind, friendly and informative, she's great- Lynn was terrific, as she was speaking to me to take my mind off procedure (great social skills) not forgetting Mr Mukherjee, charming and caring but also concerned too, Alison and Katie, Discharge Team were thoughtful and caring, they projected such a good image of the hospital.
Oh and I had a lovely cup of tea and a sandwich and left feeling "that wasn't so bad, why was I up to high doe!' Bonus is non cancerous outcome...... so relieved......
I would not be contacting you unless my experience was so so good, your Nursing Team are a credit to you, as are the Surgical Team to the Hospital.
Please pass my grateful thanks to all involved ... want them to know the difference they made to one older woman to day.
If you need to get in touch please do.
