I recently attended day surgery unit. I was met by senior nurse Geraldine who immediately introduced herself and explained my procedure. I was then greeted by a lovely theatre nurse called Amy who again introduced herself immediately and took me to theatre for procedure. I was then transferred to ward 13 for a short while prior to discharge and I was cared for very well by clinical support worker called Margaret and on arrival to ward 13 was met by a lovely staff nurse called Kaitlyn who also immediately introduced herself. They were very attentive to my needs and kept me up to date on my progress. As a health care professional myself I feel feedback good or bad helps us in either knowing we are doing a good job or know where we can improve our service. In this case I can only praise the staff as introducing themselves immediately builds up a rapport and makes patients feel at ease whilst they remained professional and competent. Also from any staff member I met whether it be theatre staff anaesthetic staff and doctors they made me feel important and at ease
