"Taking my Father for a Brain Scan."

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Neurosurgery (Brain and Spinal Surgery)

(as a service user),

It is only right that Aberdeen Royal Infirmary get justifiable positive comment when providing exemplary service. My Father is in his eighties and was worried about going for a Brain Scan. We arrived with ten minutes to spare to alleviate waiting time and were taken 5 minutes early, the scan went as described and we were in the ward for 20 minutes. The relief experienced was immense. No waiting, stress was relieved, it may be exceptional in its timing but thanks to all concerned.

Dear Les1

Many thanks for taking the time to share your Father's experience when attending for his brain scan. It is very much appreciated that you recognised the importance of sharing such a positive comment.

We continually strive to improve our service through learning from patients' experiences, including positive experiences. The slick, stress-free experience which your Father had is what we aim to deliver and so it is great to hear that we have achieved this on this occasion.

I shall ensure that my colleagues in the imaging department are aware of your feedback which, I am sure, they will be delighted to receive.

Best wishes to you and your Father.
