"Inadequate Care - Blakesley Centre"

About: Birmingham Children's Hospital

With Blakesley's operations manager on sick leave and lack of adequate responses by the Core Team Manager, leadership is inadequate to care for patients.

Perhaps Birmingham Womens' and Childrens' should forfit their contract back to Birmingham South-Central NHS CCG Health Authority and let a specialist mental health NHS provider such as Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust take over. They're already helping to look after some under 35s already under Early Intervention when they require the Home Treatment Team at Printing House.

God help the under 18s who rely CAMHS! At least in my day they had a working tv, lavender colour walls (no whitewashed all over by Eestates department) and toys to cater for all 0-17 year olds.

At least back when it was CAMHS and not FTB there were Psychotherpaists, Art Therapists and Drama Therapists. Not anymore!

We sincerely apologise for the extremely delayed response to your feedback. It is very sad to read your experience with the Blakesley centre under Forward Thinking Birmingham. We have since improved our monitoring of feedback for Forward Thinking Birmingham and many changes have been made within management and with the trust structure of FTB. We would like to encourage you to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) if you still wish to discuss these concerns further or have any other concerns as they will be happy to help you resolve your concerns and share your feedback with the Blakesley team. The PALS team can be contacted on 0121 333 8403 or via email on bwc.pals@nhs.net. Best Wishes, Patient Experience Team.
