"A&E/AEC"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

My nan was brought up to A&E on the 30th November 2017 she came by ambulance and was treated with such care and consideration, we were very impressed by the speed of the service. The nurse was very friendly and instantly put her at ease whilst performing an ECG, she then went straight to X-ray and was called through within moments, again, kind, caring and thoroughly dignified experience. She was sent to AEC where she waited a short while for bloods, had a feinting episode whereupon the alert buzzer was called and the staff excelled in providing emergency care. She was given a bed and was seen by a Consultant who she wishes to thank personally for their kindness and excellent bedside manner, they were amazing. Such a lovely Dr and an asset to the hospital. Thankfully she was allowed home, but she is safe in the knowledge that should she need emergency care again in the future, she will be in the best of hands.Fantastic hospital, thank you

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback at what must have been a stressful time for your family.

It is pleasing to read such lovely comments regarding the care your Grandmother received from our staff in A&E and AEC along with the team who carried out her X-ray.

We have shared your feedback with the lead nurses for A&E, AEC and Imaging for distribution to the teams concerned, who I’m sure will be delighted to receive them.
