Unfortunately I was knocked down by a car, on the pavement, in June and was taken to Crosshouse A&E by ambulance, staffed by 2 very efficient and caring Paramedics. My injuries were a broken collarbone, broken bone in hand and bruised/cracked ribs and soft tissue damage to one foot. Subsequently it was decided that I needed surgery to insert a temporary plate to help displaced fracture in collarbone to heal properly. This operation was most successfully performed by Mr. Tanagho, an extremely empathetic and skilled Surgeon.
The 2nd operation to remove the plate was done in November by the same Surgeon. I have been to the follow-up appointment at Trauma and Orthopaedics and have been told that the bone has now successfully healed...and I was shown the before and after X-Rays....a-m-a-z-I-n-g...
Please pass on my grateful thanks to the Surgeon, anaesthetist etc., Trauma and Orthopaedics Clinic, Day Surgery , Wards 2A and 2B, A&E and Paramedics...they have all displayed the NHS at its best.
