My daughter attended the family planning part at Chester lodge. She had been using the contraceptive pill for the last 3 months. She made the decision to go and get the implant put in as she tends to forget her pill (as teenagers do)
The nurse obviously could not be bothered to listen and dismissed her request for the implant and sent her away with 6 month's of the pill again.
Now I know that most sensible and trained nurses will always encourage people to use the implant so why this nurse thinks it's ok to just do what they wanted is a joke. Wouldn't you think the costs on NHS would be a little better without hoping teenagers don't get pregnant or have to have terminations (especially if the teenager has requested help to never be in that position) looks like another trip to our local clinic. Thanks Sunderland you haven't failed to disappoint
"Family planning clinic useless"
