I've just been to the Lri clinic in Balmoral. We are now dropped off at the pick up point in Havelock street, the taxi has to queue along with people accessing the car park - a very long line indeed!

The buggy service from Windsor to Balmoral is very efficient.

The only real grouse is that there is no seating in the area around the pick up point which, for we elderly, is a very uncomfortable wait.

The fact that there is no longer any entrance into Balmoral for the clinics seems daft to me. Any plans to change this?

Thank you for leaving a review. As the Royal Infirmary is a city centre hospital, there is limited parking on site so there inevitably can be a backlog of traffic on surrounding roads at peak times. Havelock Street is one of the main access roads into the Royal Infirmary site and facilitates a large amount of local and hospital traffic. We are glad to hear that you are pleased with the buggy service which is a popular facility for patients to get around the hospital quickly and easily. We note your comments about seating areas and will pass them onto the Estates and Facilities team to look into.

The main hospital entrance has been in Windsor building since the old Emergency Department and Urgent Care Centre closed last year to begin work on Phase 2 of the Emergency Floor. This is why we needed to permanently close the main entrance to Balmoral building.
