I arrived in A& E at St John’s at 3am on the morning one sunday with my friend who had started to have nasal bleeding 10 days following maxilofacial surgery. Without going in to the gory details, there was a lot of blood which wouldn’t stop and which was clotting in his throat restricting his breathing. We were quickly ushered into a cubicle and on quickly realising the problems he was facing we were moved to the resus room. It took a number of hours to get the bleeding under control. Through it all, the staff were phenomenal, calm and caring, keeping not only him but also me updated and as de-stressed as possible. I can’t compliment them enough! thank you!
"Amazing A&E staff"
