Level of care very dependant on which staff were on shift
Some great staff nurses, who were knowledgeable and great communicators
Other nurses both registered and not., were rude or unhelpful. Did not listen to patients and behaved as though patients were an inconvenience
Food was often placed too far away for patients to reach and then there were comments such as ‘you haven’t eaten much’. Same with drinks and then staff were surprised when patients were dehydrated!
Poor timings of ward rounds meant relatives of elderly patients were never involved in discussions about care. Which leave people in the dark.
Medicine errors were observed and reported, they were actioned but no clear understanding if they were recorded as a signification event.
No considerations from some nursing staff on timing of medications due to certain conditions. Clearly a one size fits all approach
A mixed bag of care. Clearly some work to be done on patient or customer care. Lack of manners of staff and general attitude was upsetting in some instances.
