I was released from prison in February and at first I was homeless which made things difficult and I ended up using. It took sometime but through Foundation Housing I got a bond and was able to get somewhere to live. I found all the appointments with lots of different agencies really difficult to keep up but it was worth it in the end.
I got a prescription from Compass and since then I have been reducing and yesterday was my last dose. I am hoping to get some volunteer work between now and September When I am starting a college course to train to be a support worker.
It has been a real struggle getting used to attending appointments and keeping contact with all the services I needed too support me through this, it was really helpful at this time to get a phone from the DIP team.
