I was referred for treatment for depression. Very disappointed with help offered. Tablets prescribed by GP and was given a CPN who I hardly ever saw - no regular appointments given and she did not bother phoning even.
I was on tablets for 5 months and no-one checked if they were working - they weren't.
I depended on help from Samaritans as I felt suicidal. Surely better help than this could be given on the NHS?

The Trust provides a Step 2 and Step 3 Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Service for the treatment of mild to moderate depression and anxiety, following NICE guidelines. We would be happy to look into your specific case if you are able to provide further details.
