Its truly impossible to get through to this practice, opening times are apparently 8:30-12 then 4pm - 6pm as advised on the phones automated message. I am so far 37 call attempts in from 4pm today and still the automated message is playing to say they are closed.
This is not the first time either, it is a consistent battle to get someone to answer the phones. I recently went to the surgery to pick up medication and the phones were silent so I thought I would check and call the surgery whilst standing next to reception, Low and behold the lines were engaged as both receptionist were too busy chatting.
I appreciate its not the most exciting job taking phone calls from sick people all day but this is just unacceptable, It no longer seems like the issue is the lack of staff its more the lack of commitment to their job.
I'm not one to write reviews, in fact this is my first but due to Elms medical practice's incompetence to complete a simple task of answering a phone i feel i need to write one.
I've personally never had any issues with the GP's themselves but the receptionists and the pharmacy staff are extremely rude and speak to everyone as if we are beneath them.
I am annoyed that i have to give a 1 star rating for this surgery as it does not deserve any and they really need to start to think about changing staff or changing staffs attitudes
