Having waited for 5 hrs to go down to theatre, was rushed out of day care at8.45 as they wanted to close. As a result was not informed of any aftercare requirement to use laxatives or of problems that might ensue.
Not given any dressings, which need changing 4 hourly at minimum and prescription for antibiotics/blood thinner/pain relief was not filled as pharmacy closed!
Why on earth can't SMH run to a late night pharmacist as no-one having afternoon surgery is out on before it closes?
Will now have to go back to surgical clinic first thing Monday (typically it is a weekend so no clinic) for urgent evaluation.
Very concerned about possibility of infection as only recently finished chemo treatment for leukaemia...
poor show by SMH after brilliant cancer care.
