As a family, we are upset and extremely concerned with regards to the ongoing poor standard of care delivered to our mother throughout her journey, both within FVRH and Falkirk Community hospital. These failings are unacceptable and feel that a distinct lack of basic fundamental care, dignity and respect has been demonstrated towards her. She was recovering from Sepsis, has Vascular Dementia, and is very frail and now awaiting placement within a nursing home.
There have been many ongoing issues highlighted in a substantial complaint to NHS Forth Valley, including a serious incident which resulted in two bone fractures. We feel that our mother has categorically been let down by NHS Forth Valley, treated with no dignity and respect; left repeatedly in an unsafe situation which resulted in this unnecessary serious injury; loss of property and cared for by staff who we believe don’t have the appropriate skills, competence and professional attitude. Our complaint was lodged in mid February and we are still awaiting a response from NHS Forth Valley.
