I'm sorry to say this but I had a really bad experience. I had a foot injury and the pain got so severe that I could not walk at all. So I called 111 in the mid night and they asked me to go to the hospital straight away. A guy called me and said they can't send me an ambulance as the ambulances are for people who are about to die. So I have to take a Taxi. I said having a taxi it's not a problem, all I need is help and support to get into the hospital as I couldn't walk. He said, you have to ask that from the taxi company as we can't guarantee the help is available at the hospital and also can't guarantee there are wheelchairs available for me. And that I have to find a porter for that. And this is the last thing you want to hear when you are so helpless and suffering from a severe pain which don't even go away for the pain killers.

And I went to the hospital in a taxi, and the taxi driver went and asked for a wheelchair and wheeled me into the hospital. Have to admit the nurse and the doctor who saw me was nice even after a very long wait. (But I didn't mind waiting as long as I'm being treated) After everything was done I asked for some strong pain killers to take until the pharmacy opens in the morning, a nurse and a receptionist went inside to get it but didn't come back, and waited for over 20mins and my taxi was waiting outside. I felt really dizzy and was about to faint and I asked for some water from a staff member and I asked if they could wheel me out to the taxi as I couldn't walk and was feeling so dizzy (And the wheelchair was there) they gave me water and looked around and started serving another patient. I couldn't wait any longer and I went to the taxi limping. Tears came to my eyes and I told the taxi driver what happened and thank god the driver had the same medicine which I asked from the hospital. He was a life saver.

The total credit goes to the taxi drivers not the NHS staff. I feel that I received rubbish service from the NHS and can't believe we all pay contributions towards this service every month and I did not get the care I needed and when I was helpless and this is the first time in my life I had a foot injury and needed support.

I saw so many staff inside the hospital doing nothing but chatting and eating. I'm really sorry to give a feed back like this but this is the truth. And writing this also a waste of time for me, but the NHS should know the good and also the bad experiences that the patients face. I saw a notice board in the hospital saying your feedback is important to us that's why I thought to post this. If I had a good experience I would say I had a good experience but unfortunately it's a really bad experience for me.

Thank you.
