"Newcastle Eye Department RVI"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary / Ophthalmology

We visited the RVI with our 8 year old son who had unfortunately suffered a detached retina in his right eye. Given that he is blind in his left eye, this was an extremely upsetting and stressful time for us. The staff in the Newcastle Eye Department are a huge credit to the NHS and we are so lucky to have them. They went above and beyond and we felt so reassured that our son was in very capable hands. Although he is not out of the woods yet, we feel he had the very best of care from all the staff and we are very grateful

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback regarding your son’s visit to the Ophthalmology department at the RVI. We are pleased to hear that he received a good service from the department and will be sure to share your feedback with all the staff, who work hard to provide a supportive environment and will be pleased with your positive comments on our service.
