"Ambulatory Care Clinic - QEII Hospital, Welwyn..."

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

I was recently diagnosed with cellulitis, after three visits to my GP I was referred to the Ambulatory Care Clinic at the new QEII Hospital WGC.

On arrival I was greeted by the reception and nursing staff and then taken to the assessment area.

I was attended to by the nursing staff who took my blood pressure, temperature and completed an observation chart before being assessed by the Doctor.

I was then fitted with a peripheral IV cannula for the administration of a stronger antibiotic.

I had to return to the clinic each day to have the antibiotic over 6 days. On every visit I made the nursing staff were attentive, explained everything clearly to me and my treatment was given with care.

I cannot praise the nursing staff and Doctors enough for the exemplary care that I received, this is a team with compassion, care and professionalism at their core....I was treated with genuine care and respect....the management of my treatment was thorough and everything was explained to me in great detail.

The staff were reassuring, engaging and polite at all times and are a credit to their professions and should be very proud of the first class nursing care they practice.

Thank you all so very much.

Thank you for getting in touch Peter. We're very pleased to hear that you were looked after extremely well by our colleagues in the ambulatory care team. We do hope that you are now on the mend and we'll make sure your feedback is passed on to the team.
