"Exceptionally thorough and attentive care"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Badminton injury and arrived at A& E department of University Wishaw Hospital. I was looked at by Fraser the Physio who ascertained that I had ruptured my Achilles. He applied a cast and tried me with a zimmer and sticks to see what would be most suitable. I left with both until I felt secure enough to use the sticks. Fraser was exceptionally thorough and attentive and gave me all the information relating to the cast and the next steps to take for future appointments as an outpatient.   I was seen, treated  and left hospital in about one and a half hours.

Dear Mapman

Delighted to hear of your experience whilst attending A&E. This is fantastic feedback and I will ensure this is passed on to Fraser in particular and the rest of the team. I hope that you are managing with your crutches and make a full recovery.

Thanks for taking the time to post online

Claire Rae
