I was given an appointment (after a two week wait) on Monday 29 January because I was having problems with my ears ringing and difficulty hearing/sleeping because of this.
The Doctor told me that my ears were blocked and their nurse was currently being trained to perform ear syringing so I would have to wait about a month before this procedure could be carried out.
He then offered me an alternative of having it done sooner privately at a clinic further down the road, for a fee. I don't know what the legalities of this are but it seemed odd to me. I told him I would rather have it done on the NHS because that's what I pay for out of my NI contributions. They told me to call in about 3 weeks about booking for ear syringe.
When I called them for the second time, they booked me in for 10 April. On the day, they called me to say it was cancelled because the machine was broken. I spoke to the manager who then told me the NHS no longer advised the procedure - ok so why book it for me then? I then re-booked to get it done on the 11 May. they called me on the day again to say it was cancelled because the machine was broken.
I have now left this surgery. They treat their patients like dirt - you can't get an appointment for weeks but every time you go in there there's no-one in the waiting room! It's gone downhill since the previous doctor left the practice IMO.
"Disgusting treatment and I will complain to NHS..."
