"Cancelling an appointment"

About: Basildon University Hospital / Dermatology

I have been trying to cancel my mother's appointment which is on Monday 18th June but no one answers the phone.

I tried several times on Wednesday 13th and a couple of times today with no success.

She got two messages reminding her about her appointment but when I dialled back on the number used it was unavailable.

I am unable to ring on Friday as I am out all day, so what happens next.

It will not be her fault that I was unable to cancel so I hope this does not affect her treatment

WHY DOES NOBODY ANSWER THE PHONE IN THE DERMATOLOGY DEPARTMENT, I HAVE SEEN A COMMENT ABOUT THIS FACT IN ANOTHER REVIEW.

We would encourage you to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at pals@btuh.nhs.uk or on 01268 394440 with your mother's details so they can alert the department that you have been trying to make contact with them.

If your call is not answered immediately, this is because the staff are busy answering the concerns of other callers but PALS will always be happy to help and will return your call as soon as possible.
