(as a carer),

My uncle with alzheimers had an ambulance called out by his home care.   Fortunately it was nothing serious and he is alright. The ambulance crew left him well and comfortable, called us to inform us how he was and made him tea and settled him. We are most greatful to them for their help care they showed him. I am aware that the ambulance service is extremely busy and their care is so greatly appreciated

Thank you for taking the time to write in and share this really positive feedback with us.

It is fantastic to hear.

As you say, working for the Scottish Ambulance Service staff can be extremely busy! Our staff do a great job caring for patients each day and it is really encouraging to hear from patients and their families about the standard of care they are receiving.

The fact our crew were able to comfort and reassure your uncle and make him a nice cup of tea to settle him is lovely to hear. I hope you and your uncle are doing ok and thanks again for taking time out of your own busy schedule to send us this feedback.

It would be great to identify the crew who came out that day and send them on this feedback. If you were able to send an email to me on mark.hannan3@nhs.net with the date of the call out, name of your uncle and address I can ensure your kind comments are passed on.

I realise that you will be busy though so don't worry if not. I can always include your story in an internal staff communication update which goes out to our staff on a weekly basis.
