"Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy Day Intervention"

About: Victoria Hospital / Day Intervention Unit

(as the patient),

I had planned laparoscopic surgery for removal of my gall bladder last month. The care and attention I received during my short stay was exemplary in all respects & I do not believe I could have received better treatment anywhere else. From the time I arrived until I was discharged (the same day) I had first class attention from every member of surgical, medical & nursing staff I encountered. Each introduced himself/herself & gave clear explanations as to what would happen. After surgery it was the same, with very attentive nursing care in the ward. This allayed any concerns I might have had, but in the event I had none & I firmly believe this to be because of the excellent organisation, communication on the ward & of course the the skill & dedication of everyone involved in looking after me. This has helped with a very speedy recovery from surgery.

Dear MM61

How nice to read your comments on Care Opinion following the removal of your gall bladder at the VHK recently.

As a team we pride our self on the care we provide to our patients and by taking the time to offer full explanations every step of the way helps allay any anxieties and concerns our patients may have.

I will certainly pass on your kind comments to the day surgery staff and hope that you are now fully recovered.

Kind regards

Sandra
