"Honestly the worst practice I’ve ever been to."

About: Addingham Surgery

For this review I will focus on one main problem.

The problem started with a form that needed to be filled. The practice was paid to fill out this one form. However, despite this, it proceeded to take over 5 months with the end conclusion that they had lost the forms. Which I wouldn’t have been to bothered about had they then decided to not take responsibility and accused me of never handing them in. Becuase they refused to accept responsibility I couldn’t then get another form, and it greatly messed up my chances of a career.

Eventually I got new forms and the problems started again.

I changed practice, handed them the forms and the next day I had revived a text to say the forms had been completed. Addingham medical centre took over a year to fill one form which they never actually did. Farrow medical centre took one day and even took the time to tell me that they had been sent.

That is the overview of my time with addingham medical centre (which I had been with since birth). Lazy, incompetent and petty.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on NHS Choices. We pride ourselves in running a friendly and efficient practice at Addingham Medical Centre, and are very proud of our staff and the systems we have in place and therefore take any non-positive comments received very seriously.

I am very sorry that you are unhappy with our service we provided.

Having recently returned as Practice Manager I have rechecked the protocol we have in place and we do have a robust process for completion of forms received in practice.

Unfortunately as you have not provided your name I am unable to contact you directly and would appreciate your contacting me at the surgery on 01943 830367 so that I can investigate this matter further to see where the system fell down and do our best to improve the process if there is a problem.
