The operation was carried out on Friday 27th July 2018 in the afternoon. It involved removal of the Basal Cell Carcinoma from side of nose, taking cartilage from left ear and skin from right cheek to complete nose reconstruction. The attention to detail professionalism shown by nursing staff, anthesis doctor, and the lead consultant was exemplary. From the start every part of the process was explained in detail, I was put at ease even walking in the operating theatre the anaesthetist made me feel at ease by talking to me all the time. When I was awake in the recovery room the lead consultant spoke to me and explained all was satisfactory. The overnight nursing and support staff made sure I had good food liquids and a quiet area to sleep overnight. I was discharged today Saturday 28th with boxes of pain relief and antibiotics they even arranged a taxi to take me home that I was happy to pay for. Overall my experience of first ever operation is one of excellent professional care with attention to detail.
