"She could put anyone at ease"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Ear, Nose & Throat (Ward 9)

I’ve been attending Miss Thomas’s orthodontic clinic at Wishaw General for almost three years with occasional visits to the ENT at Monklands to see Mr Sood before jaw surgery. This comment is specifically for the great service provided by all at orthodontics at Monklands hospital. The regular faces at both the desk and the dental nurses always made me feel welcome, especially Linda who always seemed to appear at the right times such as the day after my jaw surgery and also the subsequent visit to remove the steelwork which was causing problems. On the second occasion I hadn’t expected to see her there, but the familiar face was most welcome before going under anaesthetic again! She is a credit to the NHS, always chatting like a friend and could put anyone at ease before explaining exactly what was going to happen. I’m glad to see the end of the orthodontics, but I’ll also miss the visits to orthodontics!
