"Blood tests opening times"

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent experience and we are very sorry to hear that you were unable to have your blood test done at time you visited the Russells Hall Hospital blood test department.

Effective from 3 September 2018 the opening hours for blood tests across Dudley changed. The walk-in clinic at Russells Hall Hospital is now open from 8am until 6pm on Mondays to Fridays, and from 8am until 1pm on Saturdays. This means that a six-day service is now provided.

Effective from 6 September, patients can also book a blood test appointment at Corbett and Russells Hall hospitals on Monday to Friday from 8am-6pm, and at Russells Hall Hospital on Saturdays from 8am-1pm. Call 01384 244330.

Blood tests can also be at 21 GP clinics across the borough, with six or seven morning clinics per day across the working week: please contact your surgery for more details.

As part of the changes, we ensured that all GP practices across the Dudley Borough received updated information about the changes which should have been reflected in any referral forms provided to patients after the changeover date.

We would be happy to look into why this was not reflected on the referral form you received from your GP.
