I was in the Queen Elizabeth 3weeks ago for a week. At first the staff were friendly. I had a procedure done on my lungs. When I awoke from this procedure I was back in my room in bed with cot sides up. I buzzed for a nurse to help me as I'm disabled & use a walking stick. The nurse was outside my room with an axilery & I could hear them from my room. I waited 10 minutes & still no one came. I eventually slid down to the bottom of my bed & got out which was very dangerous as I could have fallen. I ent out to see why the nurse didn't answer & was told to get back & turn it off myself as they were doing lunches. I know the nurses are hard pushed but it would have only taken a second. The room I was in was filthy & the cleaner came with a mop which smelt like rotten cheese. I complained about this & they sent another cleaner in to clean my room. I was admitted again yesterday for the same condition. I was phoned at 10am & told my room was ready so I headed in. When I got there I was told that my room wasn't ready at all. I was put in the day room & told they would bring me lunch. They forgot to bring my lunch so I got nothing to eat. Eventually a nurse came & said my room was ready & took me there. I was horrified to see a cleaner mopping a blob of black hair all over my room. I asked her what this was & she said it came out of the drain in the bathroom. I went into my room minuets later & it was filthy. The sink was stained, the trolley to eat your food from was stained with tea etc. There was Long black hairs on the top cover of my bed & on the floor. A Doctor came to do bloods & used the tea trolley to put the needles etc on. I was horrified. I had to clean the trolley with the stuff to kill germs on your hands. I put it on paper towels & cleaned everywhere I could. This morning I was woke by a nurse at 6am & told I would need to get up & leave my room as they needed it for another patient, she told Me to go back to the day room till they had another bed for me. I appreciate that the other person was sick but they were already in the next ward to me 7b I was in 7c. I waited about an hour & still no room so I signed myself out. I'm appalled at the condition of this hospital as it's only been open a few years & also about my experience in there
