I was admitted as an emergency to the Haematology Ward in ARI back in May. Since then I have had more than 20 clinic appointments and one further emergency admission. Every single member of staff has treated me with dignity, respect and shown great professionalism. The Haematology Clinic and Ward 112 are exceptionally busy and the staff work tirelessly in difficult and challenging circumstances. I have nothing but respect for all the team members I have encountered. Big thanks to Prof Watson and his Medical team. Thanks also to the Nurses and HCSWs at the Haematology Clinic who always smile and find the elusive veins! A special mention to Shona (Advanced Nurse Practitioner) at GMed who grasped a complicated and dangerous situation last week and ensured I was treated correctly and safely. You are all a credit to NHSG.
